First there is Opal, octogenarian and lead guitarist. She wants to spend the last years of her life whooping it up and rocking on with The Anomalies.
On bass there’s her pal Ember, a psychopathic eight-year-old. Iraqi Ray plays keyboards when he’s not looking for the American soldier he shot during the Gulf War.
And on drums we have beautiful Aurora, ex-stripper and preacher’s daughter, who hates the fact that her wheelchair doesn’t stop men objectifying her.
Last but not least is Luster (vocals), the middle child of thirteen gun-toting, crack-dealing brothers from the ghetto. It is Luster’s destiny to challenge the stereotypes of small-town America and, in so doing, to provide a brief interlude during which these five friends get to make sweet rock music together.
