Imagine your best friend has been murdered and your teenage son accused of the crime. How far would you go to protect him? How many lies would you tell?

Jeanne Cross is an ordinary wife and mother with a seemingly perfect life when Ali Mathers arrives on the scene, breaking rules and breaking hearts. Almost against her will, Jeanne is drawn to this compelling woman and the two strike up an unlikely friendship. But both women are troubled. For Ali, it is the suspicion that someone has been breaking into her house – not to steal, but to terrify her. For Jeanne, the brutal truth she conceals is too terrible to face alone. As the two friends wrestle with their lonely secrets, something terrible happens. Ali is murdered, and Jeanne’s son is accused. As her world falls apart, Jeanne finds herself facing impossible choices.

Tense, intelligent, heartbreaking and chilling, The Liar’s Diary will take you twisting and turning into the dark heart of family, friendship and love.
